          • Control and Oversight by Independent Bodies

          • Increasing transparency and accountability of state institutions of security sector is the fundamental task of four independent state institutions - Commissioner for Free Access to Information of Public Importance, Ombudsman, State Audit Institution and Anti-Corruption Agency of Serbia. These bodies play a specially important role in societies in transition, where state institutions are not peforming oversight adequately. In cooperation with independent institutions, BCSP suggests and advocates changes of the legal framework for a more efficient oversight of security sector.
