    • How do Citizens See the Police, Security and Corruption

      Regional network of civil society organizations POINTPULSE and the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP) will present the results from the fourth annualpublic opinion survey “The Citizens’ Opinion of the Police Force” on Tuesday, 6 November 2018, starting at 11h, at the Media Centre (Grand Hall, 2nd floor, Terazije 3, Belgrade).

      The perceptions of citizens in Serbia will be presented and compared to the perceptions in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro, and Kosovo. Presentations on the same topic will be simultaneously organized in capitals across the Western Balkans.

      Answers to the following issues will be discussed:

      • Do citizens feel safe?
      • How much do the citizens trust the police?
      • What do citizens think about the police as an institution?
      • To what extent do citizens think that the police are corrupt?
      • How to fight corruption in the police?

      Panelists:

      Working language of the presentation is Serbian with simultaneous English translation provided.

      Presentations on the same topic will be simultaneously organized in Tirana, Sarajevo, Skopje, Podgorica, and Pristina, where the results will be presented by project partners: AnalyticaCenter for Security StudiesInstitute AlternativeInstitute for Democracy and Mediation, and Kosovar Center for Security Studies.
