    • Discussion with European parliamentarians on security sector reform in Serbia

      Saša Djordjević, researcher at the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy, will participate in a meeting with a delegation from the European Parliament composed of members from the Special Committee on Organized Crime, Corruption and Money Laundering.

      The meeting, whose main theme will be the problems in Serbian security sector reform — particularly with the police — will be held on Tuesday, July 17th on the premises of the European Union’s Delegation.

      Djordjević will present to the European parliamentarians research, analysis, and practical suggestions made by BCSP and staff engaged in these activities in the field of security sector reform.

      In addition to the consultations on democratic civilian control of the security sector and migration management, this discussion is part of a series of meetings BCSP has had with EU officials in order to more effectively improve security of citizens and society, as well as the broader region and the European Union.
