NATO has reaffirmed its global supremacy - gained after the end of the Cold War - by intervening in several regions of the world, including the Balkans. However, in its reaction to security of its members being threatened, NATO has also contributed to rise of new threats, especially global terrorism and proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. BCSP analyses policies which NATO implements in an effort to control these threats, and identifies useful lessons for decision makers.
The extent of NATO’s contribution to regional cooperation in the field of education and training, and specifically the role of PTECs and DEEP will be examined in the analysis by BCSP Researcher Marija Ignjatijevic.
