    • Become BCSP Fellow

      Certificates are awarded to all BCSP fellows upon completion of the program
      Certificates are awarded to all BCSP fellows upon completion of the program

      Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP) has an ongoing open call for fellowship programmes for foreign students.

      BCSP invites graduates and post-graduates from faculties, schools and institutes based from abroad to become part of our fellowship programme.

      BCSP seeks fellows with background in social and political sciences, and others especially interested in security studies.

      Fellows are required to nominate their own research that they will pursue during the tenure in BCSP. The fellows can also be asked to take active participation in the work of BCSP, thus gaining hands-on experience of the region and the way think-tanks operate. Standard duration of the BCSP fellowship is up to 3 months, with four yearly tenures starting in March, June, September and December. Please note that fellowship is not financially supported by the BCSP, although BCSP will provide a workspace, computer, full resource and library access and any other nonmaterial help for the fellows.

      Since 2007, more than 200 students from Serbia and 35 from all over the world participated in BCSP internship and fellowship programmes.

      The BCSP fellowship is highly competitive so please read the call for application carefully and apply for the position according to the requirements listed below.

      The BCBP is looking for qualified candidates who:

      a) Have a Bachelor’s degree or higher;

      b) Have research skills and readiness to carry out policy-oriented research;

      c) Have demonstrated research background related to security, international relations or gender studies;

      d) Have excellent knowledge of the English language and computer literacy.

      In order to apply for fellowship at the BCSP, please send:

      1) Current resume or CV;

      2) Personal statement which should frame your motivation for applying for BCSP fellowship and outline the work/research you propose to conduct during the programme (up to 1000 words);

      3) Copy of a recent publication or a sample of relevant work, in English. For example, short paper or a dissertation chapter.

      Please outline the quarterly tenure you wish to apply to (spring - beginning in March; summer - beginning in June; autumn - beginning in September; winter - beginning in December).

      All submissions should be sent to the address: fellowship@bezbednost.org.

      After you submit your application, you will be notified of the eligibility as soon as possible by the fellowship/internship coordinator.
