    • Representatives of the NUPI visited the Belgrade School of Security Studies

      The representatives of the NUPI, Norwegian Institute of International Affairs - Kari M. Osland, researcher, Stèle Ulriksen, Deputy Director and Vegard Valter Hansen, Senior Military Adviser and researcher in the Institute - as well as Lieutenant Colonel Brigt Harr Vaage, Defense and Security Adviser from the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Belgrade visited the Belgrade School of Security Studies, new research institution within the Centre for Civil-Military Relations, on January 12-13, 2006.

      During the visit, the guests had the opportunity to learn more about the completed preparation for starting that important project. The members of the Managing Board Miroslav Hadžić, Milorad Timotić and Jasmina Glišić presented the previous results of the Centre and planning activities of the School, while the possibilities for the future cooperation between NUPI and CCMR were discussed on the special meeting. Recently selected researchers of the Belgrade School of Security Studies also participated in joint discussion about "Kosovo as a European security problem", on the round table held on January 13.

      The Belgrade School of Security Studies started with its work on January 9, 2006, thanks to the support of Royal Norwegian Government. The Belgrade School of Security Studies also enjoys the support of the Balkan Trust for Democracy.
